The Maldives was a destination I was dreaming about. The white sand beach overwater bungalows looked perfect. But those dreams turned into nightmares when I realized the value of these bungalows. Fortunately, the change in tourism in the country has allowed a small but growing budget travel industry to emerge. Until I booked a trip to the island country, I realized how easy and cheap it can be to choose Maldives tour packages.

How to save on Maldives flights:

If you book a stay on a private island, your choices may be limited to the transportation options provided by your hotel. Our ship required five hours to arrive at Thoddoo when a speedboat could arrive at the island shortly.

If you can't wait for your vacation to start, you can also find local speed boat owners in Maldives tour packages who can take you to places where you have to go to a resort at a low cost. On the way back from Thoddoo, we booked a speedboat at $ 35 per person.

How to Save Money on Food:

When you are not booking all-inclusive, food in the Maldives does not need to break the bank. If you are staying at a local island guesthouse on your Maldives tour packages, you will find that many guesthouses offer cheap dinners ranging from about $10 to $15.
